This is a lovely book written by a young girl, Niki Kawa and the quotes selected show a great maturity.
This book offers a selection of quotes from famous people. Some of these are Lewis Carroll, Winston Churchill, Mother Theresa, John F Kennedy just to name a few. Along with each quote is a coloured drawing from Niki.
Some of the quotes are simple and humorous like this one from an unknown author: “A bad attitude is like a flat tyre; you can’t go anywhere until you change it.”
And others are much more meaningful. “You will never see a rainbow looking down,” from Charlie Chaplin – one of my favorites.
There are also some from Niki herself and show a generous and kind heart.
You may already have read these quotes in other books or on social media platforms but this book offers a very unique and fun way of visiting them again.
Her illustrations are delightful. They really help focus the reader’s mind on the important message each quote offers.
Sit down and share the thoughts and images with your child. Also, each page could be framed and hung up for further contemplation.
I would have liked to have known more about how the book came about so I’m going to check out Niki’s website.

This colorful and inspiring book was written by 7 year old Niki Kawa. She does an incredible job of combining quotes with her beautiful drawings.
She uses quotes from those such as Robert Frost, Albert Einstein and Walt Disney. She even added some of her own quotes, and the depth of her quotes will amaze you.
Niki is a very talented author and illustrator, and I look forward to seeing future works from her.
Her beautiful artwork shows she has a very deep understanding of the words.
This would make a great gift, not only for your children, but for the entire family.

What an achievement for someone of her tender years!
The quotes in this book are all relevant and so well chosen, plus you're getting some of Niki's gorgeous art. What's not to love? This is a book that kids as well as their parents will treasure for years to come.
